Hi! I’m Kyra Crawford Calvert.
Before I ever transformed homes, I built brands.
As a writer, software developer, and creative strategist, I spent more than a decade helping entrepreneurs, brick-and-mortar businesses, and community organizations bring their visions to life through branding, websites, and digital experiences. Before engineering school, I earned undergraduate degrees in English Writing and Art History, where I developed a deep appreciation for storytelling, composition, color, and the lasting impact of intentional design.
I've always been equally drawn to creativity and systems. While one part of my mind imagines what's possible, the other naturally thinks through how to build it. Whether designing a website, developing software, or transforming a room, I enjoy creating experiences that are both beautiful and highly functional.
Locusts & Wild Honey was born from a deeply personal season. After completing the probate process following my mother's passing, I found myself thinking differently about homes—not just as places to live, but as opportunities to create beauty, build wealth, and leave something meaningful behind.
Today, I combine my background in design, technology, hospitality, and strategic thinking to help homeowners and investors transform overlooked spaces into welcoming, income-producing properties. From underutilized basements to thoughtfully staged homes and short-term rentals, I believe every space has the potential to tell a better story.
